Holly with some of her AWESOME clients!

I LOVE my clients!

Welcome to my Website!

I’m so glad you took the time to visit me and see what I have to offer.

Who Am I?

My name is Holly Binkley.

I’ve been training clients since the mid-eighties and have been Certified with the International Sports Sciences Association, (ISSA), since 2004.

What Happened?

I’ve always loved the feeling of being FIT but I, like many others, let a sedentary lifestyle and comfort food take over my life.  Becoming a new Mom in 1996 was an AMAZING blessing and I wanted to spend every SECOND with my miracle boy.  But as time went on, I ended up spending a lot of time just sitting around and eating JUNK out of boredom more than anything else.  When I did cook, it was always something that was EASY or CONVENIENT.  I didn’t go out of my way to prepare healthy foods for my husband and I.  I also had the tendency to eat A LOT when I was stressed.  If the money wasn’t coming in quick enough, or my baby was sick, or a parent decided to not pay me for the child care that I was providing I’d head for the pantry and whip up a big bowl of buttery popcorn, or chips and dip, or SOMETHING tasty and fattening!  Well after doing this for 6 or 7 years, I packed on the pounds and actually weighed as much as I did during full-term pregnancy!!

HEALTH ISSUES

This excessive weight was not good for a small-boned 5′5″ frame.  I started having hormonal problems, depression, and was lethargic.  So, I decided it was time once and for all to do something about it.  Since I had trained others and myself, I thought it wouldn’t be any problem this time whipping my physique back into shape.  WRONG!!  My body had changed after child birth, my metabolism had slowed, and the obstacle of 35-40% body fat was much bigger than anything I had ever dealt with before.

WHAT’S A FLABBY GIRL TO DO?

So, at the age of 40 I decided to hire a personal trainer.  But, I didn’t want just any trainer, I wanted someone who thought the way that I did, who was experienced in working with women’s health, and who was an expert in the field.  I searched for several trainers I had admired in the past but couldn’t find any of the ones I was looking for and finally stumbled upon Bodybuilding.com which contained tons of articles and information relating to a fitness lifestyle.  I read for hours and hours and finally found a trainer who’s philosophies were along the same lines as mine and went to his website at www.bodybyo.com .

Kim sounded like an amazing trainer but was very pricey for my budget, (and worth every penny), yet something intrigued me and I took the HUGE step and signed up!

FABULOUS AT FORTY-TWO!!

Not only did I learn WAY more about fitness and my physique/nutrition/working out than ever before, I took my body to levels I had NEVER achieved before!  It was exciting to see the transformation!

Finally, I decided to do a competition – a dream of mine since the early 80’s.  And I did it! I not only competed but actually placed, won trophies and realized a life dream!!

Now – AT Forty-Six I Want To Help YOU!

After all that I went through, I realized that FITNESS is my passion.  I LOVE helping other people achieve their fitness goals.  I enjoy teaching the importance of nutrition, weight training, cardiovascular exercise, and combining all three components into my Fitness Classes as well as my One-on-One Personal Training!

The cool thing is, I’ve done all the work, I’ve made all the mistakes and I’ve experienced the successes and the failures and have compiled all of this information into my training programs to pass onto my clients.  I’ve figured out how to not only LOSE the weight but how to KEEP IT OFF!!

I hope that you will click around my site, see what I have to offer, and give me the opportunity to help you achieve your fitness goals, whatever they are.

My Specialty is Women’s Fitness but I will gladly work with couples in a one-on-one setting and of course EVERYONE is invited to my fitness classes!!
